ueno.

I have been taking pictures of all my meals on my trip so far (since every single meal from breakfast to dinner and even snacks in between have been out of this world amazing)... but I realized there is no way I can post them all unless I choose random shots from each day. Which I might do still... but I wanted to showcase a few of my favourite restaurants that we visited. The first being this little shack in Ueno, Tokyo - a bright and fun atmosphere. We enjoyed all sorts of Izakaya that was grilled on the charcoal stove on our table, and also had fresh sashimi, crab brain mixed with egg, a variation of nigiri and makis, all paired with crisp beer and some Japanese sochu to end off the meal.

While I don't usually enjoy raw sea urchin, this was pretty amazing dipped in salt and wasabi and wrapped in nori. Tuna chin - so massive. The meat from the tuna chin... so delicious.
