Seattle, WA. 3 hour drive down, Kanye West bumping in the car. Picked up some chairs, a vintage globe, some clothes and a good meal. 3 hours later and another 3 hour drive back to Vancouver, this time with The Roots accompanying us.

Kingyo is a Japanese izakaya restaurant in the west end of Vancouver. We had a delicious variety of Japanese plates to share, such as my favorites - tuna tataki and ebi mayo. It's a great place to go with a friend or two and will definitely go again one day.
Everything about today was beautiful. The skies were clear and the sun was shining, and I got to enjoy an amazing breakfast with my Valentine. We both got in-house smoked salmon bennys and a side of pancakes because we couldn't resist. The fresh blackberry filled pancakes tasted amazing with sugar coated vanilla butter and apple jam spread generously on top. Two chef's is a great little restaurant in Gastown with a lovely atmosphere. It was a great start to a great day. Happy Valentines!
It's a rainy Saturday afternoon, and the cloudy grey skies are making me feel lazy. Fritz poutine with some chipotle mayo on the side was the perfect snack for me. Now it's time to curl up on the couch and start my new read (that I am sure everyone except for me has read by now) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. With a cup of hot Earl Grey tea in my hand, I am ready to immerse myself into this thriller.
