by the water.

These pictures were taken on a day trip out to Himi - purely to see the Japan Sea and eat fresh sashimi and other delicious treats.

Wearing vintage Carhartt jacket, F21 shirt, vintage Levi shorts. All photo's taken by my brother.

bria.

Bria is almost always in vintage with a cool new piece worked into her outfit. Too bad she doesn't live down the block from me anymore (sadly not even in the same city), or I would be taking more pictures of her effortless style.

a little bit of toyama.

Toyama was my favourite part of my whole trip - mainly because I was able to spend 10 days with my brother and his beautiful family (although he'll argue because it was of the delicious sushi that I ate while there - he made sure that my "last bite" in every meal was a negitoro bite - food pictures from Toyama to come). Toyama and Himi (a close by city that we went to as well) are known for Japan's tastiest and freshest fish and shellfish, as it is right by the Japan sea. I never thought I would notice such a difference in the quality of the fish but it was so extreme to me that I did. For the 10 days, hours was spent eating, laughing, chatting all night and enjoying the nature and beauty of Toyama.

acme cafe.

Lunch at Acme Cafe on Sunday, a little place in Gastown. My friend and I both got the Veggie sandwich, which consisted of goat cheese, portobello mushroom, peppers, zucchini, sprouts, and sun-dried tomato basil mayo on a panini grilled Ciabatta. Ryan got the Ciabatta grilled cheese with cheddar, swiss, brie, and a cranberry-Grand Marnier relish - I happily accepted his half of the sandwich and enjoyed every bite. Each meal came with a side of broccoli almond slaw and chips or soup. If you're ever in the area, be sure to try this place out!
