hummus.
Hummus is one of my favourite dips to make because it is so easy, delicious and healthy. I just blend chickpeas, tahini, lots of fresh garlic, lemon juice, sea salt, and cracked pepper. After the ingredients are all blended I drizzle some extra virgin olive oil on top. This is just basic hummus, but can be made a variety of ways by adding some cilantro, parsley, jalopeños, or roasted red peppers.
To make 1 large batch of hummus:
2 cups of chickpeas
3 table spoons of tahini
half of a lemon
water (to liking for consistency)
4 cloves of garlic
2 table spoons of olive oil
sea salt and cracked pepper (to liking)
Optional ingredients:
fresh cilantro or parsley
Blend all ingredients together. Pour into a bowl and drizzle a little more olive oil on top. Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley.
