havana.

It's hard to miss Havana on Commercial Drive, with it's charming patio seating and even quirkier interior. Entering the place you are greeted by dozens of frames and pictures hanging askew, and as you venture further back there is a bar and a small art gallery. I went there for a Sunday brunch, and after contemplating between a variety of delicious menu options such as the Latin Breakfast and Veggie Hash, I finally settled on the Huevos Rancheros. This came in the form of 3 sunny side up eggs laying on a bed of chili and cheese, all placed on top of a grilled tortilla, with fresh salsa and really creamy rich sour cream. Needless to say, it hit the spot. The other pictures are of the Chorizo Hash and the Omelet which I am told were equally divine. It definitely was worth the drive.

the chosen ones.

I picked up these vintage shorts at the monthly sale at the Waldorf Hotel a couple months ago, and I can finally wear them! They are really snug, but doing some lunges around the house prepared me for a day out in them and they got surprisingly really comfortable. If you haven't checked out The Chosen Ones monthly vintage sale at the Waldorf definitely do... I have already snagged some great pieces for really good prices.

so far today.

Today I had lunch on the patio with Ryan at Cactus Club, where I had the garden burger and fries (one of the best veggie burgers I have had) and a few bites of Ryan's fish tacos. We wandered around Robson Street with Fresca Medici's in hand, and now we're heading to the beach to soak up some sunshine. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far!

the elephant park.

This shirt from Top Shop is so much nicer in person than it shows in this picture… the fabric is incredibly soft which makes it really comfortable, and the colour is so vibrant and fresh. I would normally wear this shirt with a dark pair of jeans or a flowy skirt…but in a rush of packing for the weekend, I paired it with these shorts instead.

This elephant park is located right next to my granny’s house in Victoria. It is a place where my sister and I would go play every time we visited growing up. I remember the pink elephant in the park being so big and grand when I was little, but every time I go back to visit, it looks smaller each time..
